The sports show provides youthful and fresh insight into all sports. The show stars Wole, and Ray. We air live every Tuesday at 7 pm ET on YouTube. Show topic/agenda:
In this episode of HBCU Corner, Wole sits down with Delaware State University Men’s Basketball Head Coach Stan Waterman to discuss the Hornets’ season, recent challenges, and what lies ahead in MEAC play.
Coach Waterman reflects on Delaware State’s demanding non-conference schedule and breaks down the Hornets’ narrow 53–51 MEAC conference loss to Coppin State University. In that contest, Miles Webb recorded a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Ponce James led the Hornets with 13 points and four steals. Delaware State controlled the glass and forced 19 turnovers but was unable to close out the game at home in Dover.
The conversation also previews Delaware State’s upcoming MEAC matchup against Norfolk State University on Saturday, January 10, 2026, a key home contest as the Hornets look to gain momentum in conference play. With both programs competing closely in the MEAC standings, the game represents an important opportunity for Delaware State men’s basketball as the HBCU season progresses.
Topics covered include:
• Delaware State’s season outlook and team development
• Breakdown of the Coppin State loss and standout Hornets performances
• Preview of Delaware State vs. Norfolk State in MEAC action
• Coach Waterman’s insight on defense, rebounding, and team identity
