🏈 Join Wole and special guest Donna Hopkins — Commanders reporter for Tony McGee’s Pro Football Plus — as they pay heartfelt tribute to former Washington Redskins offensive guard and Washington Commanders legend, Tre’ Johnson.
In this powerful conversation, we reflect on the life, career, and lasting impact of one of Washington’s most respected offensive linemen. Tre’ Johnson was a dominant presence in the trenches, earning Pro Bowl honors in 1999 and becoming a cornerstone of Washington’s offensive line during the late 1990s.
Johnson, the 31st overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft, appeared in 93 NFL games and built a reputation for toughness, intelligence, and leadership. After football, he continued to make a difference in the community as a dedicated history teacher in Maryland.
Tre’ Johnson passed away suddenly at the age of 54 while on a family trip, leaving behind his wife Irene and their four children. His legacy extends far beyond football — touching teammates, students, fans, and the entire Washington football community.
🙏🏿 We celebrate his contributions to the franchise, his professionalism, and the mark he left on generations of Washington football fans.
If you appreciate Washington Commanders history and honoring the legends who built this franchise, this conversation is for you.
