Join Wole and special guest Joanne Coley, Washington Commanders writer for Sports Illustrated’s FanNation (On SI), as they break down the Washington Commanders’ biggest moves during the 2026 NFL Free Agency period.
One of the biggest headlines of free agency is Washington signing edge rusher Odafe Oweh to a massive 4-year, $100 million contract, including major guaranteed money. The deal signals the Commanders’ commitment to improving their pass rush and strengthening the defensive front heading into the upcoming season.
Washington also added another pass-rushing weapon by signing K’Lavon Chaisson to a one-year deal worth up to $12 million. Chaisson is coming off a strong season and gives the Commanders another explosive edge defender as the team continues to upgrade its defensive front during the offseason.
Wole and Joanne discuss what these moves mean for the Commanders defense, the edge rusher rotation, and the overall roster construction under general manager Adam Peters.
Topics covered in this episode include:
• Odafe Oweh’s $100 million contract and what it means for Washington’s defense
• What K’Lavon Chaisson brings to the Commanders pass rush
• Adam Peters’ strategy during NFL free agency
• Key Commanders offseason moves and roster upgrades
• How Washington is rebuilding its defensive front
• What the Commanders still need heading into the NFL Draft
• Expectations for Washington in the NFC East
If you’re a Washington Commanders fan, this episode breaks down everything you need to know about the team’s 2026 free agency strategy and roster direction.
