Deebo Samuel remains one of the most versatile playmakers in the NFL, bringing a unique “wide back” skillset that allows him to impact the game as both a receiver and runner. He has been a key contributor in the offense, producing strong numbers as a pass-catcher while adding value in the run game. However, with injuries and age becoming factors, Washington must decide if he’s worth a long-term commitment or a short-term deal.

On the other hand, Brandon Aiyuk represents a potential long-term solution at wide receiver. Aiyuk is a younger, dynamic route-runner who can stretch the field and create separation, making him an ideal complement to Terry McLaurin. His skillset could provide the Commanders with a more traditional WR1/WR2 structure while maximizing offensive efficiency.
