Last weekend was supposed to be one of the biggest weekends in boxing history but only one dude truly reigned supreme in Naoya Inoue. Inoue stopped a game Ramon Cardenas in the 8th round to retain his undisputed junior featherweight championships.
The other fights for the weekend:
- Teofimo Lopez defeated Arnold Barboza to retain his WBO junior welterweight title.
- Devin Haney defeated Jose Ramirez by unanimous decision (welterweight)
- Rolando “Rolly” Romero upset Ryan Garcia to become the WBA welterweight champion.
- Canelo Alvarez defeated William Scull to retain his undisputed super middleweight title.
