Host Wole welcomes Commanders fan Paul to preview Washington’s (3-7) Week 11 matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Madrid, Spain. With the team seeking to halt a five-game losing streak, this international stage offers an opportunity for Washington to reset, regroup, and deliver a more complete performance.
We examine the major issues Washington must address, including the recent defensive slide that has resulted in the league’s highest passing yards allowed and most yards surrendered per attempt. We also discuss how injuries continue to shape the roster and what adjustments the coaching staff must make to steady the team.
From a Commanders standpoint, we break down the must-win matchups, such as the offensive line’s responsibilities, the secondary’s need to limit explosive plays, and how Washington can create stability despite lineup changes.
We also highlight a unique storyline for the team: left guard Chris Paul facing his younger brother, Dolphins tackle Patrick Paul, in a regular-season game for the first time—adding a personal layer to an already high-profile contest. We also touch on the respect between Dan Quinn and Miami head coach Mike McDaniel, and what that coaching familiarity may mean for Washington’s preparation and game plan.

Lamar Jackson delivered another poised performance in his 100th regular-season start, leading the Ravens to their third straight win and keeping them alive in the AFC North race. The defense—powered by Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey, Malaki Starks, and Kyle Van Noy—held firm against rookie QB J.J. McCarthy, forcing three key turnovers and limiting Justin Jefferson to just four catches.
Coach John Harbaugh praised the team’s “poise under pressure,” while the revamped secondary and three-safety scheme continued to shine. Baltimore looks to keep the momentum rolling next week in Cleveland.
