David Benavidez is now a THREE-DIVISION WORLD CHAMPION!

In another edition of Going to the Body with the Urban Sports Scene, Wole and Ray break down David “El Monstro” Benavidez’s explosive 6th round knockout victory over Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez to capture the unified WBA and WBO Cruiserweight World Titles at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Benavidez made a massive statement in his cruiserweight debut, using elite hand speed, vicious body work, and relentless combinations to overwhelm the naturally bigger Zurdo Ramirez before scoring multiple knockdowns en route to a brutal stoppage. Benavidez improves to 32-0 with 26 KOs and becomes one of boxing’s rare modern three-weight world champions after previously holding titles at super middleweight and light heavyweight. Even more impressive, he became the first fighter ever to stop Gilberto Ramirez in a dominant championship performance.
